STPro Series Workouts

The only distinctly different thing about me, is that I’m not afraid to die on the treadmill.  I will not be outworked.  Period.  – Will Smith

It all started with teaching roundhouse kicks to very strong and athletic movers.  STPro observed that while very strong, many advanced movers have lumbar and shoulder mechanics issues that must first be resolved.   STPro’s professional opinion is that a traditional approach of “one-off” exercises further encourages lumbar dysfunction and a lack of kinetic chain integration.  Strength isn’t enough.  The body needs to learn, maintain and optimize movement across the entire kinetic chain.

With certifications and experience in athletic rehab & prehab, STPro set about to design foundational movements to restore optimal body mechanics for clients.  And they work.  STPro now has successive waves of intermediate and advanced clients excited about this training style.

By popular demand, Studio T started documenting the work we are doing at the studio in this blog.  This blog is an evolving repository based on client feedback on the most effective and fun workout routines, special topics and FAQs, demonstrations of moves and the essential cues to gain benefit from the exercise.  We hope you find something here that changes your life for the better.

STPRO & Synergistic Training

To help differentiate this workout style from traditional cross-training, the Ninja theme was born.  What kind of moves make these routines different?

In day-to-day practice, Studio T teaches “synergistic” workouts in routines designed as a muscle-activation sequence (or “flow”) by drawing from the following disciplines: martial arts, boxing, ballet, gymnastics, Parkour, Pilates, Muay Thai, Wing Chun, Tai Chi, military fitness, Firefighter workouts and even TacFit for movement cross-training.   These ancient arts are based upon leveraging the human body’s biomechanical processes in an optimal way to resist gravity, generate force and enable robust total body health and capability.   Blend in modern science, figure out how to teach it efficiently, test out a few flows and a Ninja is born. And the cross-training is not only effective, it is an interesting challenge for the mind.

STPRO ON THE GO

Stay tuned weekly.  A content library documenting STPro Training is underway now.  Content will be easy to follow and organized by training perspective: what to do, how to do it, and how well you do it.

STPro Routines (What – Tested Routines in a Biomechanical Activation Sequence – the STPro Flow, ha!)

STPro Tech (How – Make or Break Form Tech)

STPro Belts (Mastery – Self Tests)

Trademark application pending.  Studio T, LLC, Denver, CO USA.

The series will build sequentially by progression level.  STPro1 is a foundational requirements testing and builder routine.  This ensures the core has sufficient strength – but more importantly – control for coordinated *power* movements.

There will be a blog post and permanent project record for easy access, filed and tagged under STPro.
